Quality Meat Scotland’s Scotch Butchers Club will have a significant presence at this year’s BBC Good Food Show where butchers will be selling Scotch Beef, Scotch Lamb and Specially Selected Pork, and providing demonstrations to visitors.
Visitors will have the opportunity to meet four butchers who will have counters on the Scotch Butchers Club Stand (E50). Each butcher will represent local produce by selling a range of Scotch Beef, Scotch Lamb and Specially Selected Pork products.
During the show, a further three butchers will demonstrate cutting and cooking skills featuring products from the stand. Visitors will have the chance to enjoy tasting delicious samples as well as picking up handy hints and tips and recipe booklets. They will also have the opportunity to buy products after the demonstrations.
“It’s fantastic to have such high calibre butchers from across Scotland, using Scotch Beef, Scotch Lamb and Specially Selected Pork,” said Jack Broussine, QMS Marketing Executive.
“Shoppers are really interested to see craft butchers at work and discover where the meat they are eating comes from. All the butchers on the stand are quality, independent butchers who source their Scotch Beef, Scotch Lamb and Specially Selected Pork from approved suppliers.
“This gives consumers confidence in the product they are buying - offering complete assurance that they are sourcing a fantastic product from Scotland’s national resources.”
In addition to the cutting skills demonstrations, Jennifer Robertson, QMS Health and Education Coordinator will be running a workshop called ‘Nutrition – What you need to know’, on Friday.
The BBC Good Food Show runs from 19–21 October at the SECC, Glasgow.
