The chef charmed the crowds with both his cooking skills and his kitchen rapport.
Among those to fall under his culinary spell was Tayside-based former Miss Scotland and Miss UK, Katharine Brown.
Miss Brown, Healthy Eating Ambassador for Food Festival sponsor, Scotch Lamb, joined Gino on stage to sample the results of his hard work.
His chosen dish celebrated the best of Scottish and Italian produce - Scotch Lamb wrapped in Parma ham flamed with Marsala wine.
The Festival also heard numerous chefs encourage show-goers to “buy local” and make the most of the wonderful food produced in Scotland.
Butcher Alan Kennedy, who has shops in Perthshire and Angus, joined celebrity chef Jacqueline O’Donnell, on stage to raise the profile of supporting local production – saying it made quality, environmental and economic sense to do so.
The bustling Dundee Flower and Food Festival, which attracted around 21,000 visitors, also heralded the start of Scottish Food Fortnight (Sept 3rd – 18th).
Visitors to the Festival were also encouraged to download a new mobile phone app “Perfect Steaks and Roasts”. The app, which is suitable for use when cooking beef, pork or lamb, is available for iPhone, iPod Touch and Android free of charge.
