Quality Meat Scotland (QMS), the public body which works to improve the efficiency and profitability of the Scottish red meat industry, has appointed Claire Morrison as its new Communications and Events Manager.
A marketing graduate from Edinburgh Napier University and a member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR), Claire (29) has taken over the reins from Stephen Doran, who has moved to New Zealand to a communications role in the aviation industry.
Claire has most recently been employed by NHS Education for Scotland (NES) where her role involved a variety of communications and events posts over the past six years.
Claire’s role within QMS will entail managing communications about QMS, the red meat industry and its products to the public, levy payers and other stakeholders through the dissemination of key messages via new and traditional media and at key events.
“We are delighted to welcome Claire to QMS,” said Carol McLaren, Head of Communications, QMS.
“Claire’s media and events experience make her a valuable addition to the communications team and we are looking forward to further developing our on-line and social media activities with Claire on board.”
