Among those competing for the title will be Erin Conroy, a 23-year-old level 3 Meat and Processing apprentice with Scottish Training, who currently works at Falleninch Farm Shop in Stirling.
Miss Conroy will be joined by her colleague and fellow level 3 Meat and Poultry apprentice, Stuart Rankin.
Miss Conroy and Mr Rankin will battle it out against another six talented young butchers from across Northern Ireland and the UK in a bid to lift the coveted title of Premier Young Butcher 2016.
