Scotch Beef and Lamb and Specially Selected Pork are to be showcased at one of Britain’s biggest for trade fairs.
Quality Meat Scotland has taken space in the Scottish Pavilion at this weekend’s IFE expo, taking place between 15-18 March 2009 at the ExCeL Centre in London.
Scottish Culinary Team members Tony Jackson and Kevin McGillivray will also be getting to grips with Scotch Beef and Lamb and Specially Selected Pork as QMS is supplying the meat for the Scottish Cooking theatre demonstrations throughout the show.
The 2007 IFE show attracted more than 24,000 of the world’s most senior food and buyers from the retail, food service, wholesale, distribution and manufacturing sectors.
The previous show attracted representatives of retailers such as Asda, Co-op, Morrisons, Marks & Spencer, Spencer and Harvey Nichols along with foodservice representatives from Pret a Manger, Carluccios, Pizza Express, Claridges, Hilton Hotels, Marriott International and Novotel.
QMS Marketing Manager Suzie Carlaw, said: “IFE is a great opportunity for the Scottish red meat industry as it provides QMS the platform to speak to existing and potential new customers and show them the benefits of sourcing Scotch Beef, Scotch Lamb and Specially Selected Pork.
“London is one of our major target markets for Scotch Beef in particular and we’ll be highlighting both the quality suppliers we have in the area, as well as some of the high quality customers.
“Taking part as part of the Scottish Pavilion will also enable us to show the wide range of quality produce that comes from Scotland and will help stir up both national and international interest in us as one of the world’s great food destinations.”
The QMS stand is number N34199 and will feature a chill cabinet with Scotch Beef, recipe cards and information about the Scottish red meat industry. For more information regarding the IFE event, visit www.ife.co.uk
