Meating Our Potential

As the red meat levy body for Scotland, QMS is aiming to build confidence within the livestock sector so that we can grow our national herd through increased productivity and profitability.

We are unique in that we represent every part of the red meat supply chain, from breeders through to finishers, and from abattoirs, butchers, and processors to retail. With support across the industry, QMS in partnership with the Scottish Red Meat Resilience Group has developed this producer toolkit as part of its ‘Meating Our Potential’ campaign - a practical resource to improve our productivity, profitability and to help producers to make the most of the opportunity ahead of us and to grow our national herd.

About this toolkit

This initiative exists to provoke thought and to start a national discussion about how we can make our beef sector more productive and more profitable, and give businesses the confidence to invest in their future.
