QMS launches new BBQ guide

Quality Meat Scotland is helping high street butchers to get ready for the barbecue season with the launch of a new consumer guide.

The new BBQ guide, which is also supported by fresh seasonal point of sale material, gives a useful guide to the best Scotch Beef, Scotch Lamb and Specially Selected Pork cuts, and the variety of ways to make cooking outdoors a breeze this summer. It has been sent out to current Scotch Butchers Club members across the UK. With the guides, butchers will also receive fresh window vinyls and posters for their shop.

“Barbecues can be great fun and a fantastic way to relax with friends and enjoy the Scottish outdoors at its best,” said Jack Broussine, Marketing Executive, Quality Meat Scotland.

“Whether you’re having an intimate barbecue with friends and family or feeding the masses at a party, it’s the perfect occasion to enjoy the great taste of Scotch Beef, Scotch Lamb and Specially Selected Pork.

“We know the weather in Scotland can be unpredictable at best, so we’ve made sure these recipes work just as well on the grill as they do on the barbecue, and our sauces and marinades will bring the flavours of summer to you even if the weather doesn’t cooperate.

“By choosing to cook with Scotch Beef, Scotch Lamb and Specially Selected Pork consumers can take some of the uncertainty out of the end result as they can be assured of the very high quality of the product which is underpinned by world-leading quality assurance.”

The guide also features instructions about how to stay safe when cooking outdoors, with specific hygiene and cooking instructions designed to take the worry out of firing up the barbecue.

The new guide is available now at Scotch Butchers Club member shops. To find your closest member visit www.scotchbutchersclub.org
