As the red meat levy body for Scotland, QMS is aiming to build confidence within the livestock sector so that we can grow our national herd through increased productivity and profitability. We are unique, in that we represent every part of the red meat supply chain, from breeders through to finishers, and from abattoirs, butchers, and processors to retail and, with support across the industry, QMS are launching our ‘Meating Our Potential’ initiative a programme that will give producers the tools to improve our productivity, profitability and to help producers to make the most of the opportunity ahead of us and to grow our national herd.
This initiative exists to provoke thought and to start a national discussion about how we can make our beef sector, more productive, and more profitable, and give businesses the confidence to invest in their future.
