At QMS, we like to split our developmental work into two core areas: Industry and Market. Our Industry Development work is focused on undertaking projects and activity that support farmers on their journey to create and establish successful livestock businesses which positive contribute towards the overall red meat industry. Breeding, feeding and health are the cornerstones of any successful livestock business. We work with livestock farmers in various different ways – ranging from support for animal health planning and eating quality projects, to practical hands-on workshops at locations throughout Scotland covering everything from disease prevention and management to better grazing strategies.

From a Market Development point of view, QMS works collaboratively with the Scottish red meat industry to maintain, build and access new market opportunities locally, nationally and internationally. As an organisation, we are always seeking opportunities for partnership with retailers, the food service industry, suppliers and exporters to promote the world class Scotch Beef, Scotch Lamb and Specially Selected Pork brands.
