Make it Nutritiously Delicious with New Globally Inspired Recipes

Shoppers have been putting more vitamin supplements in their shopping baskets than ever this year but Quality Meat Scotland (QMS) is encouraging the nation to boost their daily intake the natural way with a selection of delicious internationally inspired recipes.

QMS has unveiled five new recipes – Scotch Beef Pho, Scotch Beef Rendang, Sticky Scotch Beef Noodles, Blackened Spiced Specially Selected Pork with Chickpea Stew and Korean Style Specially Selected Pork, which are full of natural nutrients that pay a vital role in supporting the immune system when enjoyed as part of a healthy balanced diet.

Each dish boasts a high protein content, which our immune systems rely on to produce antibodies that in turn build and repair body tissue to fight against infection, viruses and the illnesses we all face during colder months.

Recipes such as the Sticky Scotch Beef Noodles are perfect for people who might be short on time and still looking to make a healthy meal, or to replace takeaway night with a fake-away alternative. For those with more time on their hands, a slow cooked Scotch Beef Rendang is ready to serve after two hours simmering on the hob.

Beef and pork holding the iconic Scotch Beef PGI and Specially Selected Pork logos are a shopper’s guarantee that the meat in their basket has been sourced from local farms that adopt best practice regarding animal welfare and production methods whilst also supporting local farmers.

Lesley Cameron, Director of Marketing and Communications at QMS said: “As we move into the winter months, we know that consumers are looking for ways they can adapt their dinner choices to suit their health conscious, fast-moving lifestyles, so we made sure the next batch of our ‘Make It’ recipes would reflect that.

“We have designed them with a heavy focus on easy dishes inspired by cuisines from farther afield but that will still tick the box for being a nutritious meal.

“We are confident people will enjoy giving these recipes a go and hope they will help them see the versatility of Scotch Beef PGI and Specially Selected Pork meats while also appreciating their provenance and depth of flavour.”
