The most obvious way in which producers can affect eating quality is through diet, and more specifically the 'nutrition plane' and ensuring that animals are happy and healthy no matter their diet.
There are a number of ways the producers can ensure that an animal’s diet is as good as it can be, one of those being maximising the potential of our grasslands through innovation in grass management.
We are a proud partner in a UK-wide Grass science project called GrassCheckGB. This project involves leading research institutes and grass monitoring stations all over the UK that can look at the growth of grass and make recommendations on how to maximise it.
