Bert Fowlie Butchers has been named the inaugural Prime Scottish Pork Display Champion following a new industry competition celebrating the creativity, skill and product knowledge of Scotland’s independent butchers.
The award was presented as part of a three-way partnership between the Scotch Butchers Club, run by Quality Meat Scotland (QMS), Robertsons Fine Foods and Scottish Craft Butchers. The competition was open to butchers across Scotland using Prime Scottish Pork and was designed to showcase the versatility, provenance and quality of the product at retail counter level.

Entrants were assessed on the visual impact of their display, alongside innovation, tradition, craft skills and product knowledge. Bert Fowlie Butchers’ winning entry stood out for its colourful and imaginative treatment of Prime Scottish Pork, supported by a branded backdrop featuring the three partner organisations and the young team behind the display.
