Livestock Health Planning for Crofters

Following their summer roadshows SCF and QMS are hosting a final online event to answer your questions on Monday 12th December at 7pm.

Back in April 2020 QMS introduced a requirement for annual veterinary visits and veterinary sign-off of health plans to their cattle and sheep standards. Recognising that the new standards could be a big change for crofters, a dispensation was made to allow them additional time to adapt. These new standards will therefore not be implemented before April 2023 at the earliest.

Eilidh Corr, Animal Health and Welfare Specialist for QMS, will explain the recent changes and take questions. Miranda Geelhoed, SCF Policy Officer, will give an update on Scottish agricultural policy.

The session will be recorded for those who can’t make it, so questions can be sent in advance to miranda@crofting.org
