The Scottish red meat industry levy board, Quality Meat Scotland (QMS), has warmly welcomed the announcement of Andrew Connon as President of NFU Scotland, alongside the newly elected Vice Presidents, Robert Neill and Duncan McAllister.
QMS Chair, Kate Rowell commented:
“Andrew Connon is stepping into the role at a crucial time for the industry. With his extensive farming experience, alongside his leadership roles at NFU Scotland, he is well-equipped to advocate for the sector and ensure the concerns of our farmers are heard at the highest levels.

Kate Rowell also took the opportunity to express her appreciation for outgoing President Martin Kennedy, recognising his dedication and invaluable contributions:
